Unakite - Lake Michigan Stone
Unakite was first discovered in the United States in the Unakas mountains of North Carolina from which it gets its name. Unakite exists in various shades of green and pink and is usually mottled in appearance. Unakite is an altered granite composed of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and generally colorless quartz.
Unakite is a stone of gentle energy. It heals the emotional self and balances the spirit and consciousness. It does this by clearing away emotional energy blockages from the past, which aids physical and emotional healing. This triggers the experience of self-growth with a new confidence and encourages one to live in the present, allowing one to become more centered.
