Viridine Alurgite is a purple variety of Muscovite - a potassium aluminium managnese silicate hydroxide mineral commonly found in many rock types and as a primary mineral. Muscovite is often associated with other minerals such as Fuchsite and Verdite and is a member of the Mica group of minerals.
Viridine Alurgite, like other Micas, has a layered structure of iron magnesium aluminium silicate sheets weakly bonded together by layers of potassium ions. These potassium ion layers produce the perfect cleavage.
